VISITS

Every year, CERN welcomes more than 300,000 visitors from all over the world (including around 4,500 from Belgium).
But it is also possible to book a group virtual visit.
Geneva is particularly well connected to Belgium by air, with several daily flights from Brussels, and by rail via Paris or Lyon.

All CERN visits are free of charge.

CERN Science Gateway

Since October 2023, CERN welcomes visitors at the Science Gateway from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.00 to 17.00.
Activities cover:

Groups (min 12 persons)

Booking is required and open 9 months in advance. It is highly recommended to book as early as possible as places sell out very quickly.
It is possible to book visits to exhibitions, lab workshops and guided tours.
Other activities (science shows, films, temporary exhibitions) are freely accessible when available.

Families and individual visitors (less than 12 persons)

Booking is required and open one month in advance.
Access to exhibitions is guaranteed, access to science shows, films and temporary exhibitions is guaranteed when available.
Guided tours and lab workshops are open for booking on the day, after you have checked-in.
